Paul Andrews serves as
Kitsap County Auditor and is running for re-election this year.

Paul began his IT career at Pierce County in 1993, working to modernize their records from papers and file cabinets to computers and hard drives. He took a position with Kitsap County Information Services in 1995 as a Data Analyst with an emphasis on technology and big data. In this position, Paul safeguarded the county's most sensitive records and was trusted by the Sheriff and Prosecutor's Offices as an expert witness for high profile cases.

Since being elected Auditor in 2018, Paul has focused on fulfilling his campaign promises to ensure the Auditor’s Office is accountable to taxpayers, local elections are conducted securely, and county resources are more widely accessible. Paul is the chief election official for Kitsap County, as well as Co-Chair of the State Licensing Committee, Secretary and voting member of the Kitsap County Finance Committee, and Board Member of the Washington State Association of County Auditors.

Paul has served on the Board of Directors for several local non-profits, including KACE, KSBO, and South Kitsap Cheer Association. He has volunteered with Special Olympics, Relay for Life, United Way, and the South Kitsap School District. As a graduate of Leadership Kitsap, Paul has taken the time to learn about Kitsap County, its people, and its services.

 

Paul is a lifelong resident of Washington State and has spent the last 27 years in Kitsap County. He and his wife Carol live in Port Orchard and have two adult children.
